Matt Armstrong (a.k.a. Mad Busker) experiments with instrumentals of the indie/alternative rock persuasion.
Matt grew up in Poway, CA and went to Poway High School. He learned to play guitar at 13 years old and hasn’t put it down since. Mad Busker got his name through busking on the streets of Utah and Northern California while playing for tips. He now performs for various locations, bars and Weddings.
If an audience member names a song they want to hear, he can usually play it or something similar. His vocal range and guitar skills allow him to perform for audiences of all ages and musical taste. His influences range from Michael Jackson to Jack Johnson.
Often times, Matt performs slap guitar braudening his range musically into a one person band. He plays cover songs ranging from Billie Jean (Michael Jackson), Feel Good (The Gorillas), No Diggity (Blackstreet and Dr. Dre) Tennessee Whiskey (Chris Stapleton), and Landslide (Fleetwood Mac). He also has an E.P. of original songs called Solo, which takes on a more alt. rock/ indie sound.
