In light of all the recent situations and headlines, I think we could all use a good, fast, defiant punk rock song right now. Well, good news! The Run Around has one. Probably more than one, but today I’m telling you about their newest single “Bombs Away”.
As a band that has been together for fourteen years, it’s clear that The Run Around has really honed in their sound. “Bombs Away” hits hard right off the bat. It’s easy to get hyped up when you hear a beat and a riff like what you’re introduced to in “Bombs Away”. The song is heavy with a chorus prime for chanting along to at shows and gang vocals. As the song goes on, those listening are confronted with an outraged lamentation about the state of the country and socio-political climate. The track is a catchy, two-fisted jam that is relatable as well as energetic. The 90s skate punk roots of this song are palpable and I would definitely recommend giving it a listen.
